University Teacher since 1994, being presently a Coordinating Professor with Habilitation at the Food Industry Department in Polytechnic Institute of Viseu – IPV (Portugal). Has been President of the Scientific Board; President of the Assembly of Representatives; Director of Licence Course, Director of MsC Course, and presently is Head of Department all at ESAV, IPV (Portugal).
Author of about 20 books, 50 chapters, 200 research papers and more than 200 conference proceedings. Has authored about 150 oral communications and 100 posters presented at scientific conferences.
Research interests include food engineering, food processing, food properties, food chemistry and nutrition.

She is graduated in Geography (1984), and Master (1991), Doctor (2001) and Agregation (2010) in Educational Sciences, in the specialization of Psychology of Education, all by University of Coimbra, Portugal. The researcher’s main interest concerns change and educational innovation. She is author/co-author of 3 books, 7 book chapters, 39 papers in peer-reviewed journals (h-index 9, 258 citations) and more than 30 papers in conferences proceedings. She was Coordinator of the CI&DETS/IPV research group "Education and social development" since 2007 till 2017.

João Lima is graduated in Nutrition Sciences by Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto, and PhD in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Porto.
Nowadays, he is Assistant Professor at the School of Health of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and at the Coimbra Health School and also collaborates in teaching and as a trainee monitor of the School of Hospitality and Tourism of the same city.
Previously he worked as a nutritionist in the Hospital Center of Baixo Vouga and was a consultant in the area of Nutrition in some Private Institutions of Social Solidarity, in the central zone of the country. He was also the manager of a food and environmental education project titled "Da Terra" - Center for Food and Environmental Education.

Participated as a lecturer with oral communications and posters at about a hundred national and international scientific events. She has about two hundred scientific papers published in co-authorship.
