Dr Ilija Djekic (Male), full professor. He holds a MSc in engineering and PhD in life-cycle assessment both from the University of Belgrade. Ilija delivers lectures on quality and environmental topics in food science at all three levels of studies. During his research and scientific consulting activities he participated in 10 international projects, six Serbian national projects and one French national project as well as in contracted research for more than 50 food companies. His scientific portfolio is deployed to evaluating food industry performance by using existing and / or developing new diagnostic models and tools for analyzing sustainability - environmental / quality / food safety performance in food industry at both company and products level and identifying improvement possibilities throughout the food supply chain. Ilija has (co-)authored more than 200 full papers, eight chapters and five books out of which (95+) in international journals included in the © ISI Web of Knowledge from 'food science and technology' and 'environmental areas', (50+) in other widely distributed peer reviewed international and domestic scientific journals and (75+) presented in international conference proceedings. He has international experience in Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Colombia, Croatia, Greece, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Turkey.
